Altar Set-up: Altar in the center of the Temple. Black cloth. White cross and red triangle on the altar, as in the Neophyte Grade Initiation. Incense in the East, lit, Stolistes Cup in the West, Salt in the North, Candle in the South, lit. Place the dagger to be consecrated in the center of the Triangle on the Altar. Place the Tarot cards of the Magician on the left of the Triangle, the Fool on the right, and the High Priestess beneath the Triangle.

Description:

Soror C.R. and I performed an initial Qabalistic Cross and then a ritual bathing to purify ourselves for the working. After this ritual bathing, Soror C.R. reported that she already felt herself falling into an altered state of hypnotic relaxation. We then practiced NLP state-shifting combined with laughter yoga to evoke a positive, relaxed state, which we deepened through a four-fold breath pranayamic altered state induction.

I then began to lead the ceremony as Soror C.R. sat in a chair behind the altar, focusing all of her Will on the Operation and projecting energy into each invocation and consecration as well as following along with the vibrations of words to empower and synergize my work. When I passed near her, she would touch me and send a flood of joyful, loving energy into me to strengthen and fortify me in the working.

Prior to the ceremony, three daggers were painted at the same time for the use of three magicians, Soror C.R., Frater F.S.S.F, and myself. These daggers were all hand-crafted with handles of light-weight wood by another craftsperson. I painted each of them with a combination of Pentagramic, Hexagramic, Lesser Key of Solomon, and Enochian symbolism, as explained in “An Untraditional Golden Dawn Banishing Dagger.”

We decided to consecrate the three daggers at the same time, just as they had been painted at the same time, in a simultaneous ceremonial consecration so that they would endow them with an astrological connection intended to amplify the effects of group rituals performed by the three of us using the three daggers in tandem through a kind of astral harmonic resonance.

In order to not bias the sharing of our experiences after the ceremony, Soror C.R. and I decided to immediately write down our observations individually after the completion of the ritual and only discuss our experiences after our reflections were already locked into our written accounts. The following account is a collation of these two independently written accounts.

I began by performing the lesser invoking ritual of the pentagram followed by the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram to energize and clear the room for the working and felt the Temple space intensify and lighten. Both of us reported that we experienced the pentagrams, hexagrams, and Archangelic images swelling in intensity as each of the rituals unfolded. Soror C.R. felt humbled to be in the presence of the Angels. As I recited the prayers from the Lesser Key of Solomon, I felt a rising wave of awe and wonder.

When I gave the LVX Signs, Soror C.R. later reported that she saw the corresponding letters vividly shining in the astral in bright yellow light, just as I had visualized. After each Lesser Key of Solomon-based elemental consecration of the Altar elements, I purified and consecrated both Soror C.R. and myself with the symbol of each element. I then invoked each element and projected the elemental energy into the dagger, equilibrating it with Spirit Pentagrams and the Enochian formulae of the Supreme Invoking Ritual of the Pentagram.

Each of the Elemental consecrations produced a distinct feeling and effect that both Soror C.R. and I independently documented in our written accounts after the ritual. I felt the flood of each element flowing through me and into the daggers and saw them glow in light in each elemental colour before being balanced in white light of Spirit and fading out in turn. Soror C.R. had powerful experiences during each elemental consecration following the Solomonic, G.D., and Enochian formulae.

During the invocation of fire, she felt warmth on her cheek and saw a burst of fire over the daggers. During the invocation of water, she felt moisture on the back of her neck and then a feeling of being submerged underwater. During the invocation of air, she felt a current of wind she described as “overwhelming.”  During the invocation of earth, she felt a sensation of earth being rubbed on her cheek and smelling fresh earth as if pulled from a garden.

Soror C.R. also noted that during the fire invocation, the fire hexagrams, invoking fire pentagram, and Michael (Archangel in the Southern Fire) astral images lit up and resonated with the shift in the energy. She observed similar ‘sympathetic glowing and resonating’ for the hexagrams, pentagrams, and Archangels of the other elements during their invocations.

In a very insightful comment, Soror C.R. later wrote that the ceremony revealed to her that “it is best not to try to force the visualizations, but rather to open to them in a receptive state and let them come to you.” When they came, the images did not come as she had expected or predicted. While she had expected to see the water energy express as an external symbol like a waterfall, instead, it came as a sense of being submerged and floating in the ocean.

Throughout all of the stages of the ritual, Soror C.R. and I both reported feeling a sense of the Light of Kether radiating downwards and enlivening the astral images build up and overlayered by the stages of the ceremony from up above us in the center of the Temple space.

When I created the Vortex of Light through the Mystic Circumambulation formula from the Neophyte Grade Ritual, Soror C.R. later described seeing the golden vortext of light swirling around the Temple space as I rapidly circumambulated along the boundaries of the circle, projecting the Sign of the Enterer on each passing of the East, and projecting a white triangle, symbolizing the influence of the Supernal Sephirot, up and into the center of the Temple space above us. Soror C.R. and I would draw energy from this central Triangle and then project it into the working as needed.

As the consecrations and invocations of the elements came to a close with the Earth Invocation, Soror C.R. reported seeing a bright green and smelling pine, feeling like a branch of pine needles were rubbing up against her cheek.

The invocations of multiple spirits and Divine Names from the Lesser Key of Solomon produced a great feeling of exaltation that made me swoon slightly as if dizzy; Soror C.R. later reported feeling a tingling sensation and light-headedness coming over her during these sections, which very much mirrored my own experience. Reflecting on these phases of the ceremony, she later wrote that she distinctly felt that “we were not alone.” I saw what seemed like sparks of white and silver light just outside the circle and even tendril-like ‘energy snakes’ like those that Donald Michael Kraig had once described. Perhaps some Elementals were attracted by the invocations and consecrations…

The Planetary invocations were similarly powerful; each planetary energy had a distinct feel, distinct colour in clairvoyance, and a unique character, such as the loving, green Venusian energy and the abundant, confident, electric blue Jupiterian energy. I equilibrated the Planetary energy in the daggers after each invocation so that they didn’t nullify one another.

The ceremony was not without surprise. Towards the end of the ritual, when I had intended to recite sections from the four Elemental Prayers in the Elemental Grades of the Golden Dawn from a printed sheet–prayers themselves drawn from translations of Eliphas Levi, as Pat Zalewksi had pointed out to me–I realized that only the first prayer had printed! But, as every practical magician knows, when things like this happen, there is no way forward but to flow and adapt with how things unfold. This I did, improvising and ad-libbing prayers in the same spirit as the Elemental Prayers for Water, Fire, and Earth.

The result had a pleasant side-effect; although this represented a deviation from my planned script for the ritual, the result was a deeper tuning into the energies of the elemental forces, and to love and faith to speaking from the heart, which only added to the collective effect of the ritual. Overall, upon its completion, I felt the ritual was a great success. The last few Qabalistic Crosses in the final banishing rituals felt more powerful for Soror C.R. and made the visualizations more intense for her.

Towards the end of the ceremony, Soror C.R. later reported that she felt some sadness at the state of peace into which she had entered in the altered ritual state of consciousness might leave her. In this moment, she had a vision of the presence of her aunt, grandfather, and grandmother standing beside her. They carried reassurance with their presence; their message was “it will be okay, you can still tune into this peaceful presence…”

By the end of the ritual, when all the consecrations and invocations of the elements were complete, Soror C.R. reported feeling a synthesis of her earlier astral imagery; she felt as if she were submerged under water, holding the pine branch, warmed by fire, and blown by a gust of wind, with the white light of spirit tying all together in Tiferetic harmony.

At the end of the LBRP, Soror C.R. repeated feeling as if she were “totally protected, absolutely safe, like a child” safely ensconced in the protective embrace of loving parents. The feeling moved her because she said she had not felt like that in a long time. I felt much the same.

As we picked the daggers off of the Altar after the ceremony, the effect it had produced was unmistakable. The daggers positively seemed to hum with energy! The energy felt balanced and equilibrated, however, exactly as we had aimed to achieve. We wrapped the daggers in white and put them away so that from this moment, none but their intended owners would touch them.

This ceremony was very intense for me. I projected my deep love for Soror C.R. and my deep brotherly love for Frater F.S.S.F. into every movement of the ritual, Willing as intensely as I could that these daggers should help, protect, and energize them and me in our workings.

While the energy in the daggers was well-balanced; the balance of elemental energies in my own Sphere of Sensation seemed temporarily thrown off. When the ritual came to a close, I felt both drained and simultaneously lightheaded, like a pleasant feeling of overwhelm, both airy and fiery at once, with a backnote of deeply spiritual peace behind it. As this faded out in the two hours that followed, however, a deep sense of vulnerability, of very sensitive and tender emotional rawness crept in like a descending wall of fog.

An hour after that, I documented that all of my senses felt intensified. My emotions seemed heightened and unimpeded. Much to my surprise, the simple act of smelling sheets fresh out of the dryer was so intense that it was an almost overwhelming experience. Gazing at my aura around my hands, I saw sparks of white electric-like energy snapping around it.

It was very clear to me that my energy was imbalanced and I was having flare-ups of airy, firey, earthy, and  watery sensations, emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Thus, by 6 hours after the ritual, I did some grounding and equilibration work with the Qabalistic Cross and some hearty laughter. As a result, the unstable elemental energy seemed like it began to subside and equilibrate into a gentler state of balanced calm.

Still, this ceremony was an intense one, so intense that neither Soror C.R. nor I were able to sleep through the night. By the following night, however, we were sleeping like babies once more. Ah magic… never a dull moment.

Ceremony for the Consecration of a Banishing and Invoking Dagger

Introduction

I composed this ceremony, which draws on Golden Dawn formulae, prayers, exorcisms and conjurations from the Lesser Key of Solomon, and G.D. Enochian formulae from the Supreme Invoking Ritual of the Pentagram, to consecrate a dagger for use in general banishing and invoking work from the Lesser through the Greater and Supreme forms of the Pentagram and Hexagram rituals. I also built into the ceremonial design that an added intention of the consecrations was to augment the Operator’s sensitivity and visualization ability to the Elemental and Planetary energies when mobilized through the use of this dagger.

Temple Set-Up

Altar in the center of the Temple. Black cloth. White cross and red triangle on the altar, as in the Neophyte Grade Initiation. Incense in the East, lit, Cup in the West, Salt in the North, Candle in the South, lit. Place the dagger to be consecrated in the center of the Triangle on the Altar. Steps

Temple Opening

1. Stand on the West side of the altar, facing East. Knock three times on the altar and proclaim “HEKAS HEKAS, ESTE BEBELOI!”
2. Perform the Lesser Invoking Ritual of the Pentagram.
3. Perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram.

(QC, tracing and charging each Hexagram in golden flame with ARARITA, QC)

4. Recite the Prayer from the Lesser Key of Solomon: “ARACHIO, ASAC, ASACRA, BEDRIMULAL, FILAT, ARABONAS, IERABILEM, IODODOC, ACHAZEL, ZOPHIEL, PLAUTEL, BARACATA, EDONIEL, ELOY, EMAGRO, ABRAXATE, DREBARACH, ZAMUEL, CADAT, ERA, ELY EXA, AMISTRA, MACHED, DANIEL, DAMA, ELAMOS, BRACHEL, BEEL, SEGEN, GEMON, DEMAS.²

O Lord God, who art seated upon the Heavens, and who regardest the abysses beneath, grant unto me thy grace I beseech thee, so that what I conceive in my mind I may accomplish in my work, through thee, O God, the sovereign ruler of all, who livest and reignest unto the ages of the ages. Amen.”

4. Go to the Northeast corner of the Circle, and face outward. Extend your arms outward and upward, and proclaim:
   “The visible Sun is the dispenser of Light to the Earth. Let me form therefore a Vortex in this Chamber, that the invisible Light of the Spirit shall shine therein from above.”
5. Give the LVX signs.
6. Visualize a great brilliant Light that occupies a space above and beyond you in the East. As you contemplate this Light, visualize the figure of a white triangle traced in the brilliance before you. The white of the triangle shimmers and pulses iridescently. When the vision is very strong, proclaim “Let the white brilliance of the Divine Spirit descend!” while performing the Sign of the Spiraling Light, spiraling the right hand in to meet the hand in the heart, feeling a flood of Light through the body from head to feet.
7. Equilibrate the Light with the Qabalistic Cross. Now say
   “Khabs Am Pehkt, Konx Om Pax, Light in Extension!”
8. Say: “Let the Mystic Circumambulation take place in the Pathway of LIGHT.”
9. Circumambulate three times around the perimeter of the Circle deosil or clockwise. Imagine Magical Current flowing through you, and visualize a clockwise-spinning Vortex being created as you move. Give the Sign of the Enterer each time that you pass by the Eastern end of the Circle (in the direction you are going, without stopping). Finish in the Northeast.
10. Go to the West of the Altar, facing East. Intensely visualize a white triangle shining in the center of the Temple space. Make the Sign of Silence.
11. Perform the Rite of Adoration of the Lord of the Universe.
    “Holy art thou, oh Lord of the Universe! (Sign of the Enterer)

Holy art thou, whom nature hath not formed! (Sign of the Enterer)

Holy art thou, the vast and the mighty one! (Sign of the Enterer).

Lord of the light, and of the darkness!” (Sign of Silence)

Say:

“In the Name of the Lord of the Universe, Who works in Silence and Whom naught but Silence can express, I declare that the Sun has arisen and the Shadows flee away.”

12. Recite this section from the Conjuration of the Lesser Key of Solomon:

“O Lord God the father eternal, who art seated upon the Kerubim and the Seraphim, who lookest upon Earth and upon sea; unto thee do I raise my hands and implore thine aid alone, thou who alone art the accomplishment of good works, thou who givest rest unto those who labour, who humblest the proud, who art the author of life and the destroyer of death; thou art our rest, thou art the protector of those who invoke thee; protect, guard, and defend me in this matter, and in this enterprise which I propose to carry out, O thou who livest, reignest, and abidest unto the eternal ages. Amen.”

Consecrating the Dagger by the Elements and Planets

13. Consecration by Air: Stand in the West of the Altar, facing East. Placing your hand over the Incense, perform the Exorcism of the Incense from the Key of Solomon, saying:

“I exorcise thee, O Spirit impure and unclean, thou who art a hostile Phantom, in the Name of God, that thou quit this Perfume, thou and all thy deceits, that it may be consecrated and sanctified in the name of God Almighty. May the Holy Spirit of God grant protection and virtue unto those who use these Perfumes; and may the hostile and evil Spirit and Phantom never be able to enter therein, through the Ineffable Name of God Almighty. Amen.

O Lord, deign to bless and to sanctify this Creature of Perfume so that it may be a remedy unto mankind for the health of body and of soul, through the Invocation of Thy Holy Name. May all Creatures who receive the odour of this incense and of these spices receive health of body and of soul, through Him Who hath formed the Ages. Amen.”

Three times, wave the incense of Air over the Dagger. Say:

“Oh YHVH, we adore Thee and we invoke Thee. Empower this sacred Dagger, to powerfully banish and invoke the forces of the ascending Element of Air and render vivid all visualizations and sensations of energies pertaining to Air. Amen.”

• Trace the Alchemical Sigil of Air over the Dagger.
• Do the Sign of the Enterer to project yellow Air energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow yellow, vibrating “RUACH YOD HEH VAV HEH” (ROO-AH-K, Hebrew for Air).
• Trace an Invoking Equilibrated Active Pentagram of Spirit over the Dagger, vibrating “EXARP” (EX-AR-PAY), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable.
• Trace the Spirit Wheel Sigil in the center of the Spirit Pentagram while vibrating EHEIEH (Eh-HAY-YEH), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable to project spirit energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow white.
• Trace an Invoking Pentagram of Air in Yellow over the Dagger, vibrating
  “ORO IBAH AOZP (OH-RO EE-BAH-HAH AH-OH-ZOHD-PAY), performing the Sign of the Enterer into the pentagram on the last syllable.
• While forming the sign of Aquarius in the center of the Pentagram in Purple, vibrate “YOD-HEH-VAV-HEH,” performing the Sign of the Enterer into the Sigil on the last syllable.

14. Consecration by Fire: Stand in the North of the Altar, facing South. Placing your hand over the Candle, recite this section of the Exorcism of the Fire from the Lesser Key of Solomon, saying:

“I exorcise thee, O Creature of Fire, by Him through Whom all things have been made, so that every kind of Phantasm may retire from thee, and be unable to harm or deceive in any way, through the Invocation of the Most High Creator of all. Amen.

Bless, O Lord All Powerful, and All Merciful, this Creature of Fire, so that being blessed by Thee, it may be for the honour and glory of Thy Most Holy Name, so that it may work no hindrance or evil unto those who use it. Through Thee, O Eternal and Almighty Lord, and through Thy Most Holy Name. Amen.”

Three times, wave the candle of Fire over the Dagger, then say:

“Oh ADONAI, thou Flashing Fire, who illuminatest all things with Thine Insupportable Glory whence flow the Ceaseless Streams of Splendour which nourish Thine Infinite Spirit, we adore Thee and we invoke Thee. Empower this sacred Dagger, to powerfully banish and invoke the forces of the blazing Element of Fire and render vivid all visualizations and sensations of energies pertaining to Fire. Amen.”

• Trace the Alchemical Sigil of Fire over the Dagger.

Do the Sign of the Enterer to project red Fire energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow red, vibrating “ASH ADONAI” (AH-SH, Hebrew for Fire).

• Trace an Invoking Equilibrated Active Pentagram of Spirit over the Dagger, vibrating “BITOM” (BEE-TOH-EHM), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable.
• Trace the Spirit Wheel Sigil in the center of the Spirit Pentagram while vibrating EHEIEH (Eh-HAY-YEH), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable to project spirit energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow white.
• Trace an Invoking Pentagram of Fire in Red over the Dagger, vibrating
  OIP TEAA PEDOCE (OH-EE-PAY TAY-AH-AH PAY-DOH-KAY), performing the Sign of the Enterer into the pentagram on the last syllable.
• While forming the sign of Leo in the center of the Pentagram in Green, vibrate “ELOHIM” (EL-OH-HEEM) performing the Sign of the Enterer into the Sigil on the last syllable.

15. Consecration by Water: Stand in the East of the Altar, facing West. Placing your hand over the Water, recite this section of the Exorcism of the Water from the Lesser Key of Solomon, saying:“I exorcise thee, O creature of Water, by him who hath created thee and gathered thee together into one place so that the dry land appeared, that thou uncover all the deceits of the enemy, and that thou cast out from thee all the impurities and uncleannesses of the spirits of the World of Phantasm, so they may harm me not, through the virtue of God almighty who liveth and reigneth unto the ages of the ages. Amen.

Empower this sacred Dagger, to powerfully banish and invoke the forces of the lustral Element of Water and render vivid all visualizations and sensations of energies pertaining to Water. Amen.”Trace the Alchemical Sigil of Water over the Dagger.

Do the Sign of the Enterer to project Blue Water energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow blue, vibrating “MAIM EHEIEH” (MAI-EEM, Hebrew for Water).

• Trace an Invoking Equilibrated Passive Pentagram of Spirit over the Dagger, vibrating “HCOM” (HAY-COH-MAH), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable.
• Trace the Spirit Wheel Sigil in the center of the Spirit Pentagram while vibrating AGLA (AH-GLAH), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable to project spirit energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow white.
• Trace an Invoking Pentagram of Water in Blue over the Dagger, vibrating EMPEH ARSEL GAIOL (EHM-PAY-HAY AHR-SEL GAH-EE-OHL), performing the Sign of the Enterer into the pentagram on the last syllable.
• While forming the sign of Eagle in the center of the Pentagram in Orange, vibrate “EL” (EL) performing the Sign of the Enterer into the Sigil on the last syllable.

16. Consecration by Earth: Stand in the South of the Altar, facing North Placing your hand over the Salt, perform the Benediction of Salt from the Lesser Key of Solomon Book II, saying:
    “The blessing of the Father Almighty be upon this creature of salt, and let all malignity and hindrance be cast forth hencefrom, and let all good enter herein, for without thee man cannot live, wherefore I bless thee and invoke thee, that thou mayest aid me.”

“IMANEL, ARNAMON, IMATO, MEMEON, RECTACON, MUOBOII, PALTELLON, DECAION, YAMENTON, YARON, TATONON, VAPHORON, GARDON, EXISTON, ZAGVERON, MOMERTON, ZARMESITON, TILEION, TIXMION.”

Three times, Sprinkle the salt of Earth over the dagger, then say:

“Oh ATAH GEBUR LEOLAM ADONAI, Whose Name shaketh the Arches of the World, Thou who causest the Seven Metals to flow through the veins of the rocks, we adore Thee and we invoke Thee. Empower this sacred Dagger, to powerfully banish and invoke the forces of the grounding Element of Earth and render vivid all visualizations and sensations of energies pertaining to Earth. Amen.”

• Trace the Alchemical Sigil of Earth over the Dagger.

Do the Sign of the Enterer to project black Earth energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow black, vibrating “ARETZ AGLA” (AH-RETZ, Hebrew for Earth).

• Trace an Invoking Equilibrated Passive Pentagram of Spirit over the Dagger, vibrating “NANTA” (EN-AH-EN-TAH), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable.
• Trace the Spirit Wheel Sigil in the center of the Spirit Pentagram while vibrating AGLA (AH-GLAH), performing the Sign of the Enterer on the last syllable to project spirit energy into the Dagger, seeing it glow white.
• Trace an Invoking Pentagram of Earth in shining Black over the Dagger, vibrating EMOR DIAL HECTEGA (EE-MOR-DEE-AHL-HEK-TAY-GAH), performing the Sign of the Enterer into the pentagram on the last syllable.
• While forming the sign of Taurus in the center of the Pentagram in White, vibrate “ADONAI” (AH-DO-NAI) performing the Sign of the Enterer into the Sigil on the last syllable.

17. Consecration for Planetary Invoking and Banishing Work:Say “The heaven is above and the Earth is beneath. Between the light and the dark do vibrate the colours of life. I supplicate the forces and powers governing the nature, place, and authority of the Planetary forces of Sol, Mercurius, Venus, Luna, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturnus, by all Divine Names, to bestow this present day and hour, and confirm their mystic and potent influences upon this Dagger, which I hereby dedicate to purity and to occult work. 18. Reverse-circulate the Light:
    Say: “Let the Mystical Reverse Circumambulation take place in the Pathway of Light.”

Make three counter-clockwise circumambulations of the Temple while envisioning the white triangle in the center of the room disintegrating. Imagine the Divine Light from the triangle flowing back through your heart center and up into the greater Triangle above you in the East. At the end of the circumambulation, turn again toward the East and, with your hands interlocked over your heart, begin the Reverse Spiral of Light, which is simply the total reversal of the Sign of the Spiraling Light.

Say: “The Mystical Circumambulation is accomplished. It is the symbol of Fading Light.”

20. Pick up the newly consecrated Dagger. With it, perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.
21. With the newly consecrated Dagger, perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram.
22. Say: “I now release any spirits who may have been imprisoned by this ceremony. Depart in peace unto your habitations, and peace between us, now, and in time to come. In the name of YOD-HEH-VAHV-HEH, I now declare this temple duly closed. So mote it be.”

9:30-10:30 A.M.: Dream interpretation – This morning, I had a dream that included archetypal symbolism from the Tarot cards. I was assigned to a special position within the administrative hierarchy of a college of university (it seemed to be Champlain college, where I obtained my Liberal Arts degree). This position was “Emperor” of the Institution.

The role of the ‘Emperor’ was to arbitrate and make final decisions based on points of disagreement among faculty, teachers, students, unions, and other school-based groups. I sat upon a throne in my arbitration room. Two groups of people ran into my room, greeted me, and argued over which code of school policies and laws to accept. One was a very thick and old volume that contained extensive older laws. The other was a sleeker an substantially shorter new volume with much fewer laws that encompassed several points, which were dealt with individually in the old code. They argued over which should be accepted.

After considering the case, I gave my formal ruling, which was that a position of moderation be taken; a new code should be redacted that integrated the most relevant, important, and beneficial laws and policies from the two codes.

To the Emperor card is attributed the Hebrew letter of Heh and the Sign of Aries, which is ruled by Mars. It is the Emperor card that channels the energies of Venus (the Emperess and Daleth) through Understanding (Binah) and Wisdom (Chochmah) to balance them with the energies of Mars on the way to Tiphareth (the point of Balance on the Tree of Life). I am an Aries and last night, had been preparing a ceremonial ritual for the creation and consecration of a Venus talisman; Aries drawing down and balancing the Powers of Venus. This is precisely what the archetype of the Emperor does on the Tree of Life. The ruling I gave as the Emperor was one of Balance (characteristic of Tiphareth) and Wisdom (Chochmah) between two extremes based on Understanding (Binah). Therefore, the dream was particularly apt in its archetypal Tarot and Qabalistic meanings.

5:40 –  6:00 – Hour of the Sun – Tarot Divination : Question: “What will be the outcome if I create and consecrate a Venus talisman today?”

The Split Hexagram Spread was the Following:

My Interpretation is as Follows:
1. and 2. Unknown Spiritual Influences: The Magician and The Emperor:
The Magician suggests that the talisman would bring greater concentration, activity, confidence, conscious awareness, will power, and general Power.
The Emperor, the same archetype that appeared in my dream also suggests an outcome of power, reason, and authority.  The Firey Nature of the Path suggests the power of the desire that could follow as well as male sexual desire (Ares is attributed, which rules Mars).  Together, the cards suggest a boosting of sexual power and confidence, which should, the Emperor suggests, be directed through reason.

3. Spiritual Advice for the Matter: The Sun
The Sun suggests that the ceremony and talisman could lead to happiness and contentment as well as greater vitality and assurance, a positive outcome.

4. Unconscious desires in the Matter: The Empress
The presence of the Empress in the unconscious desires position suggests that I subconsciously want fruitfulness, action, creativity, and sensual abundance.  This sounds about right to me; the card is apt in this position, since it is attributed to Venus.  This suggests that I really do seek sexual, creative, and sensual fulfilment.
5. Conscious Desires in the Matter: The Devil
The Devil in this position suggests to me that I consciously only seem to want something materialistic (e.g. Intimate relations, sexual gratification) and that I want something to happen that, in the long run, will be for the good.

6.  Practical Advice: The Hanged Man
The Hanged Man gives me the practical advice that magic will not be enough to get me the results I seek; I must also be ready to show self-sacrifice and to let go.

7.  Final Outcome: The Hermit
The Hermit suggests that if I follow the advice given here (e.g. Letting go), then the final outcome will be one of spiritual advancement, introspection, and guidance.  The card also advises me to be cautious on the way, which is sound advice.

This is a fairly positive result, which suggests that I will receive happiness (whether spiritual, emotional, or material in terms of pleasure) and spiritual advancement should I create this talisman.  Therefore, I will proceed with the creation and consecration.

6:40-8:00 p.m. – Creation and Consecration of a Venus Talisman

Before the Hour of Venus began, I prepared my ceremonial script and prepared the Altar with the Seal and Sigil of Venus, the letter Daleth, the Tarot card of the Empress, the Sigil of Anael, the Sigil of Hagiel, the Sigil of Haggith, a green cap of Thyme, the Cross and Triangle, and three green candles. I performed the Rite of Purification by Water and a brief relaxation ritual. I prepared the disc and the green marker. I got into my robe, sash, and nemyss, took up my wand, and lit the candles as the Hour of Venus began.

I then focused my intent on the talisman and the intent with which I was creating, consecrating, and charging it while constructing it. The front side bore an outer circle in which was drawn two Invoking Hexagrams of Venus, and in which was inscribed the words “Place me as a signet upon thine heart, as a signet upon thine arm, for love is strong as death” (Canticles viii 6), according to the instructions given for the Second Pentacle of Venus in the Greater Key of Solomon. Within the outer circle was an equal-armed cross. In the upper left quadrant was the Planetary Seal of Venus and the Sigil of the Olympic Spirit of Venus, Haggith. In the upper right quadrant was placed the Divine Name associated with Venus, YHVH TZABAOTH in Hebrew characters. In the bottom left quadrant was placed the Seal of Anael/Haniel from the Consecrated Little Book of Black Venus. Finally, in the bottom right quadrant was placed the Sigil of Hagiel, Intelligence of Venus.

On the reverse side of the Pentacle, in the Outer Circle, four Invoking Hexagrams of Venus were drawn. Between each, the name ARARITA was written in Hebrew characters. In the center circle, the Numerical Planetary Square of Venus was drawn, with 175 above it and 1225 below it. On the right of the Square, the Sigil of Venus was drawn. On the left, a Yoni and Phallus were drawn.

When it was finished, I placed the Talisman on the Triangle in the center of the Altar, took up the wand, and performed the Adoration of the Lord of the Universe. I then kneeled and made an opening prayer of intent, declaring the purpose of the talisman and its intended effects and asking for God’s help, blessing, and power in bringing it about.

I next performed the Qabalistic Cross and Middle Pillar Ritual to draw LVX into my Sphere of Sensation. Immediately thereafter, I performed the Ritual of the Hexagram Invoking Venus. The opening Analysis of the Keyword flooded me with energy, which nearly made me lose my balance. The entire ritual was quite powerful and visibly altered the atmosphere of the room as four Invoking Hexagrams with Sigils of Venus in their center began to draw Venusian energies into the Temple, where they would concentrate in the altar at the center, and the talisman upon it.

I then declared the intention to project the LVX and the Energies of Venus thus invoked into the talisman, and did so by giving the Sign of Projection in each of the Quarters while vibrating YHVH TZABAOTH.

I then invoked the great Archangel Haniel or Anael. I felt a peaceful, glowing warmth flood the Temple and asked for the Archangel’s help in projecting the powers of Venus into the talisman. With the Angel’s help, I projected the energies into the talisman from each of the Four Quarters, tracing an Invoking Hexagram of Venus over the talisman in the air, a Sigil of Venus in the center, and a circle around the Hexagram to seal the forces within the talisman. I gave the Sign of Projection towards the talisman, drawing Venus energies through each Quarter’s Portal (Invoking Venus Hexagram) and projecting them into the talisman while vibrating the Divine Name attributed to Venus and given in Francis Barrett’s The Magus, AHA.

I thanked Anael/Haniel for her help and proceeded to invoke Hagiel, the Intelligence of Venus. When I had the feeling of his presence—a shift in the energy of the room, a glowing presence—I asked for his help and projected Venus energy into the Talisman from each Quarter while vibrating the Name YHVH TZABAOTH. I thanked Hagiel for his help and bowed humbly. I took up the talisman and moved to each quarter, holding it up, so that it might be infused with the energies of Venus from each direction. I then replaced it in the White Triangle on the Altar.

I then proceeded to trace the Sigil of the Olympic Spirit if Venus, Haggith, (according to the Arbatel of Magic Grimoire), and invoked the Spirit by vibrating the name repeatedly and giving the Sign of Projection towards the Sigil. When I had the feeling of Haggith’s presence—an ancient power, distinct from Hagiel—I asked for his help in charging the talisman. I then projected energy into the talisman from each of the Quarters while vibrating the Secret Name associated with Venus in the Sigil dei Aemeth, INNON. I thanked Haggith for his assistance and bowed humbly. I took up the talisman and moved to each quarter, holding it up, so that it might be infused with the energies of Venus from each direction. I then replaced it in the White Triangle on the Altar.

I then invited the Three Venusian Forces to assist me once more in projecting the Powers of Venus into the talisman, and did so from each Quarter, vibrating YHVH TZABAOTH. I thanked the Powers with a short poetic address, which I will reproduce here:

“I thank thee, Great and Powerful Ones of the Sacred Realms, thou Great Spirits of the Undying, thou Powers of Venus who rule the Budding of Friendships, the Blossoming of Inspiration, the Attractions of Sensuality and the Lighting of Fires of Sexual love, for being present here with me and lending your help to me. I thank thee in the Name of Adonai as I again project and seal these Energies of Venus within this talisman.”

I then did so from each Quarter, again vibrating the Name Innon. With this duly performed, I thanked Adonai with a prayer and declared “Let the final empowerment and projection take place through the Power of the Divine and the Forces of the Celestial Ones of Venus.” This was followed by a projection of forces into the talisman in each Quarter with the Name YHVH TZABAOTH.

I then kneeled and gave a final ending prayer. I circumambulated with the talisman once more, and astrally saw the invoked Powers being drawn into it. I then placed it in the White Triangle at the center of the Altar and performed the Adoration of the Lord of the Universe to witness God’s power and offer thanks for His help.

I then took up the Sword of the Hiereus and performed the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, the Analysis of the Keyword, and the Qabalistic Cross. I gave the License to Depart and closed the temple.

Finally, I placed the talisman within the three Candles on a separate table and, strongly concentrating on my intent, drew forth the Mystic Serum, with which I finally annointed the talisman. I then wiped it clean and sprinkled it with Thyme from the Green cap. I gathered the things on the altar, placed the Empress card under the Triangle, the talisman on top of it, and all of the Sigils and Hebrew Letters form the altar on top of the talisman. It was finished.

I was very exhausted by this point, and yet I felt incredibly charged and energized. I had the feeling that the operation was a succcess. However, as always, it will remain to see in the following days what results will follow from it.

January 2018 Update:

The talisman proved incredibly powerful and reinforced loving feelings in many friendships and sexual relationships over the 8 years that followed. The effects lasted for years as I carried the talisman with me in wallet everywhere I went. To this day, it continues to be effective in enhancing my friendships, professional relationships with colleagues and classmates, and romantic relationship with my girlfriend.

Procedure:
Tonight, I performed the creation, charging, and consecration of three Saturn talismans.  I began to prepare the temple around 11:00 and to get into my robe, nemyss, etc.  I prepared the altar with a number of items with sympathies to Saturn: 3 Hebrew letter Tavs, 2 x 3 Sigils of Cassiel, 3 Sigils of Agiel, 3 Sigils of Saturn, a container of Thyme, a black plate containing Beets, a Black altar cloth, 2 black stones.  Black, as the colour of Saturn, predominated, but dark blue candles were used for lack of black ones.

I performed the Rite of Purification by water and the Fourfold Breath.  Today, Saturday, is the Planetary Day of Jupiter.  I began to create the talismans at 12:15, during the hour of Venus.  The talismans were inscribed with the planetary Qamea of Saturn, the Seal of Saturn with YHVH in Hebrew around it, the Sigils of Cassiel and Agiel, the name יה (YAH or Yod Heh) in Hebrew, a total of 6 invoking Hexagrams of Saturn, (2 on one side, 4 on the other), and a translation of a relevant Psalm, “The Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness hereof” (Psalm 24.1).

Note: Some may wonder why YAH and not YHVH ELOHIM was used here, since YAH is the Divine Name of the Sphere of Chochmah, not of Binah, the Sphere to which Saturn corresponds.  The reason is that the Gematric value of Yod-Heh is 15, which is the number of each row of the Qamea of Saturn.  Moreover, since one of the intentions of the talisman is to promote the development of Wisdom, which is Chochmah in Hebrew, this usage is appropriate.  However, instead of YAH both in the ceremony and on the talisman, YHVH ELOHIM could also validly been written.  It would be in Hebrew letters as in all other Divine Names on the talismans of the O.’.A.’.L.’. and G.’.D.’.

I said a short prayer expressing the intent of the ritual and performed Adoration of the Lord of the Universe to express my devotion and humble purpose.  This was followed by the Middle Pillar Ritual, after which I circulated the Light into the talismans to begin to charge them.   I then performed the powerful Ritual of the Hexagram Invoking Saturn (RHIS).  Due to exhaustion, my focus was not as strong as in the Ritual of the Hexagram Invoking Jupiter, but I could still see the Invoking Hexagrams in golden light and feel a current of Planetary energy slowly streaming through them.  The energy was much slower and more subdued, but yet potent, than the more overwhelming and hard-hitting energy of Jupiter.

I traced Invoking Hexagrams and Sigils of Saturn over the talismans in each of the four quarters and projected Jupiter energies into them while vibrating the Divine Name associated with Jupiter and Binah, YAH.  Again, YHVH ELOHIM could also have been used here.

I then prayed to the Lord of the Universe asking for aid in the ritual from the Lord and from the Intelligence of Saturn, Agiel.  Thereafter, I stood in the East facing the altar in the West, traced the invoking Hexagram of Saturn and within it, the Sigil of Saturn, over the talismans in golden Light, and charged them by raising the energies of Jupiter and projecting them into the talismans with the Projection Sign.  While projecting, I vibrated the secret Divine Name of Jupiter from the Sigilum Dei Aemeth, GALAAS. I turned, facing the altar from the South and repeated the same steps.  I did the same in the West and in the North and returned to the West, facing East.   The sense of palpable mystery and magic was strong in the air, but not as strong as in the Jupiter ritual.  This was a more subdued ritual overall.

I then traced Cassiel’s sigil in the air and invoked the great Archangel.  After the invocation had been made, the room became notably more still and a subtle glow of warmth was felt.  I prayed, saying “

“Dear Lord, I ask that you allow your Angel, CASSIEL, to Project his Energy into this talisman, that it might acquire the power to clear limitations and obstacles, bring organization, focus, patience, wisdom, and just and fair decisions from members of institutions such as schools to bring good onto the Earth and accomplish the Divine Will without harming any being. This I ask in the Name of the Lord of the Universe, with great thanks to God and to CASSIEL, His Angel.”

I then stated the intent to project the LVX and seal the energies of Saturn in the talismans that they might serve as attractors of magnets the above influences to “bring good onto the earth and accomplish the Divine Will.” I had in mind especially the situation of my friend Alexie, whose cooperating teacher has threatened to fail her for her student teaching field experience, though her supervisor had passed her.  McGill is on the fence and she needs all of the help she can get, not from me, but from the Divine. I  then traced invoking hexagrams with the Sigil of Jupiter within them over the talismans and raised and projected the energies into the talismans from each of the Quarters.  I touched the tip of my wand to each of the talismans while raising my left hand in the air to draw in the forces of Jupiter that they might be conveyed through the arm and wand into the talismans, charging them.

I then made a final statement of the intent of the ritual, a final prayer to the Lord of the Universe, performed the Adoration, and closed with the LBRP.  The Qabalistic cross was completed at precisely 1:24, in the midst of the Hour of Mercury.  We will see whether the talismans bear the fruits that they are intended to; all is in the hands of the One.

At the end of the ritual, I was left feeling energized and calmly peaceful.  I sprinkled thyme herbs on to the talismans, gave a License to Depart to any spirits that had become imprisoned during the ceremony, and declared the temple duly closed.

As a final gesture, I replaced my Altar in the North, the Quarter of the Element of Earth (LBRP symbolism), which is associated with Saturn.   I covered the three talismans in the Thyme from the cup, and placed all of the Sigils on top of them.  I finally placed the Triangle and Cross atop the sigils and left them there overnight in this way, so that the sympathetic energies of  the Sigils and Symbols could coalesce together to provide a final charge to the talismans.

We will see in the coming days and weeks whether they prove effective or not… I will keep one for myself, give one to Alexie, and one to Laney.  This will allow us to have three sets of data about the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of the talismans.

P.S. The word of the day on Dictionary.com was “alchemical” today, an interesting synchronistic connection to the changes and transmutations this talisman was designed to produce.

Update: Tolka shed some light on the astrological situation at the time that the talismans were made; he suggested that “from the hour of Venus, you may have some success; from the start of the hour of Mercury, the pentacles you made will be stronger one because it is a relevant hour to make things and two because of Saturn’s aspect to the MC. From around 1:00 they will be stronger still but carry problems as Mars (the lesser Malefic) and Cupido (rules over relationships) were in conjunct crossing the IC. Then further towards the end, the worse this became. That will cause arguements so I would recommend scrapping any pentacle made outside of 00:45-1:00 if you don’t want that, but still want good effects.”

Thankfully, the three talismans were all finished well within the hour of Mercury, so the latter effects should not manifest.  I have asked Alexie to keep a daily log for a week of the effects she observes while carrying the talisman.  I will also carry mine today (Day 3 after they were created) and see what I observe.

Results: On Day 1, Laney was very productive and organized and completed an entire essay while she had the talisman near her.  I found my own behaviour to be very focused on specific goals, organized, and responsible.  I was able to get to Heritage and do some final work there as well as procure books that I had left with my cooperating teacher.   We will see what effects we observe in subsequent days.

Day 3: Laney and I brought our talismans with us and went to do work at McGill.  I was extremely productive and made excellent use of my time, completing my Action Plan, Philosophy of Education, and Article Assignment.  The organization, time-management and structured-centered influences of Saturn were all evident here.  I also gave Alexie her talisman today.  She took it to a meeting with the Head of Education at McGill to discuss her failed field experience.  Though she was supposed to fail the term, while carrying the talisman, the Head of the program gave her the opportunity instead to do an additional 4 week mini-field experience to make up for what had happened.  Saturn was in a house governing communication, so this was an excellent result.

Day 4: Saturn rules over time and ever since I made the talisman, I have noticed a strange phenomenon on my computer; every time I sign on, the time is different; it may be several hours or even a few days behind! No matter how many times I change the time, the issue persists.  It is quite strange.  Saturn also rules delays and I have found myself procrastinating today.  I must organize myself and get my university assignments done.

Tuesday, November 16^{th, 2010}: I received the talisman from Adam today. I think the talisman worked! I went into my meeting with Dr. Benson hoping to not be set back another year, but wanting more experience…which is exactly an option Dr. Benson gave me! I had trouble articulating it, but she knew what I needed. I found an incredible well of patience within me, which would normally be severely challenged after reading an email my CT sent about how I was not at all ready to be a teacher. I felt very organized, and Dr. Benson even commented on how organized I was.

Wednesday, November 17^th: Today I really realized that I wanted to go home this weekend instead of next weekend. I was just home this past weekend, but after such a turbulent time I realized that I really wanted to see my family sooner than later (I was going to go home for American Thanksgiving, not this week, but next week). My mom called me this evening and asked me if it was better for Sarah and I to come home this weekend. It turned out to be better for Sarah so we decided that we would go home. After I decided that I wanted to go home, but hadn’t told anyone. I think that was the only thing.

Thursday, November 18^th: Today my dad came and picked my sister and I up to go back to Plattsburgh. I don’t think the talisman did much today. I was not organized or ready for when my dad came to pick us up because I did not manage my time well at all (Note: Saturn rules delays in its Greater Malefic, negative aspect; Alexie may have been experiencing this effect). My dad did many things to purposefully tick me off and I felt no difference in the level of my patience (Note: Saturn also rules all limitations; the limited patience Alexie experienced here may have been connected to this influence).

Friday, November 19^th: Today my family had our own little early thanksgiving celebration. I found that I was able to manage my time pretty well today, and found myself more wrapped up in tradition than normal. Not only did we do our thanksgiving dinner, but after dinner we finished putting ornaments on the Christmas tree.

Saturday, November 20^th: Tonight I had better non-verbal communication with my boyfriend in bed. When we hung out earlier, I felt more able to say how I was feeling. It felt like the day lasted forever.

Frater S.C.F.V. Note from January, 2018: Over 8 years after this talisman of Saturn was made, I found it and put it on a shelf near my books, forgetting all about it. My friend, Frater A. P., who is a powerful clairvoyant, came over to discuss magic and alchemy. When he saw the Saturn talisman, he experienced a piercing pain in his forehead in the third eye region and experienced an immediate headache! “Turn that thing away from me,” he yelled! I did so, and his headache subsided… Looks like Tolka was right about the potential Greater Malefic problems posed by Mars, the Lesser Malefic crossing the IC in conjunct with Cupido…. I’ll be taking his advice and disposing of the talisman in a respectful manner as soon as I get the chance.

 

 

 

Ritual Work for November 4, 2010

Procedure:
Since Laney was sleeping in my room, I did not have access to my private temple. Therefore, I was required to perform my ceremonial work for the day in the basement. There, I brought the two Jupiter talismans I had made and charged on a previous Day of Jupiter during the Hour of Jupiter along with the three blue candles that have sympathy with Jupiter. I then passed through a simplified version of the larger consecration ritual I had performed the previous Thursday. As then, the charging of these talismans was performed during the Day of Jupiter and the night-time Hour of Jupiter.

The Analysis of the Keyword evoked a great sense of wonder and power of the Light and the Invoking Hexagrams of Jupiter drew the Planet’s energies into the makeshift Temple space. These energies were projected repeatedly into the talismans with the vibration of the Divine name of אל from the four different Quarters. Adonai was asked to allow the Intelligence Johphiel and the Archangel Tzadkiel to project their energies into the talismans as well. This was visualized as the Spirits performing the Sign of Projection into the talismans, which the magician answered with the Sign of Silence.

The LBRP was performed in the end to balance the space, banish unwanted influences and equilibrate the energies invoked. The ritual set ended with a final prayer asking in the name of יהוה‎ that the talismans function as magnets or anchors of the powers, energies, and forces of Jupiter that they might attract wealth (not for greed, but for the necessities of life), favour, positive influence, and the other Benefic influences of Jupiter while harming none in order to produce these effects. The final feelings that remained after the rituals were a sense of inner calm coupled with exhilaration, reverence, beauty, and awe.

Results: Update: Day 1. After recharging an reconsecrating the talismans, I placed them in the Triangle on my Altar atop an amethyst crystal. On top of the talismans, I placed a cheque I had received. I then went to bed. When I woke up in the morning, I placed one talisman in my pocket and the other in Laney’s wallet. During that same day, she went to school. Her Professor mysteriously gave her a copy of the textbook for the class for free… Later on, she went in to the Student Services office and they gave her a cheque for $1500 dollars  of her student loan after telling her the day before that they had nothing for her. The talismans were a tremendous success. All praise and thanks are due to the Lord of the Universe; “not unto me, but unto Thee be the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, now and forever, Amen.”

Procedure: Today I performed the creation, charging, and consecration of two Jupiter talismans.  I began to prepare the temple around 7:57 and to get into my robe, nemyss, etc.  I prepared the altar with a number of items: three candles in blue shaded candle holders (blue being the colour of Jupiter), the Cross and Triangle, three drawings of the Sigil of Jupiter, the Grimoiric Seal of Tzadkiel, Sigil of Tzadkiel, Sigil of Johphiel (within the triangle), a crystal of Amethyst within the triangle, and a Canadian 5 dollar bill on the altar.  The 5 dollar bill is predominantly in blue ink, linking it symbolically and sympathetically both to the intended money of the ritual and the blue of Jupiter.

I performed the Rite of Purification by water and the Fourfold Breath.  Today, Thursday, is the Planetary Day of Jupiter.  I began to create the talismans at 8:03, just as the Planetary Hour of Jupiter began.  The talismans were inscribed with the planetary Square of Jupiter, the Seal of Jupiter with YHVH in Hebrew within its quadrants, the Sigils of Tzadkiel and Johphiel, the name EL in Hebrew, a total of 6 invoking Hexagrams of Jupiter, (2 on one side, 4 on the other), and a translation of a relevant Psalm, “wealth and riches are in his house and his righteousness endureth forever.”

I then performed Adoration of the Lord of the Universe to express my devotion and humble intent.  This was followed by the Middle Pillar Ritual, after which I circulated the Light into the talismans to begin to charge them.   I then performed the powerful Ritual of the Hexagram Invoking Jupiter (RHIJ).  After this ritual, the room felt like it was humming with energy.  I seemed to see little astral sparks of light in the air.

I then prayed to the Lord of the Universe asking for aid in the ritual from the Lord, from the archangel of Jupiter Tzadkiel and from the Intelligence of Jupiter, Johphiel.  Thereafter, I stood in the West facing the altar in the East, traced the Sigil of Jupiter over the talismans in blue Light, and charged them by raising the energies of Jupiter and projecting them into the talismans with the Projection Sign.  While projecting, I vibrated the Divine Name associated with Jupiter, EL. I turned, facing the altar from the North and repeated the same steps.  I did the same in the East and in the South and returned to the West, facing East.  The dark room was aglow with energy.  The sense of palpable mystery and magic was strong in the air.

I then traced Johphiel’s sigil in the air and invoked the spirit.  After the invocation had been made, the room became visibly more still and yet a holy presence was felt.  I prayed, saying “Dear Lord, I ask that you allow your Intelligence, Johphiel, to Project his Energy into this talisman, that it might acquire the power to attract money without harming any being, for the purpose of securing the necessities of life and doing good on Earth according to God’s Will. This I ask in the Name of the Lord of the Universe, with great thanks to God and to Johphiel His Intelligence.”

I saw, astrally, the form of a presence of Light sending a jet of energy into the talismans from each of the four directional quadrants.  I then invoked Tzadkiel, felt a sense of energetic presence in the room, and made a similar prayer asking for Tzadkiel to charge the talismans with its energy and enable the talismans to serve their purpose.

I then stated the intent to project the LVX and seal the energies of Jupiter in the talismans that they might serve as attractors of magnets for money without harming any being in the process, not out of greed, but to provide for the necessities of life and to do God’s will on earth.  I then traced invoking hexagrams with the Sigil of Jupiter within them over the talismans and raised and projected the energies into the talismans from each of the Quarters.  While projecting, I again vibrated the Name El.

I then made a final statement of the intent of the ritual, a final prayer to the Lord of the Universe, performed the Adoration, and closed with the LBRP.  The Qabalistic cross was completed at precisely 9:12, 1 minute after the Hour of Jupiter came to a close.  The timing in this ritual was perfect.

At the end of the ritual, I was left feeling energized and with a heart full of mystery, reverence and wonder.  There was no trace of doubt in my mind.  The ceremony had been successful and I was now in the possession of two charged Jupiter talismans.

We will see in the coming days and weeks whether they prove effective or not…

P.S. The traditional effects of a Jupiter talisman include the attraction of “Gains and riches, favor and love, peace, concord, influence, appeasement of enemies, confirmation of honors, dignities and counsels,” and the “dissolving of enchantments.”  They may also include the expansion of religious faith and general growth.

Results:
Day 1, Oct 29:  While carrying both Jupiter talismans today, I was surprised to observe some striking changes in my overall psychology.  The power and intensity of the changes suggests that they were more than accidental; they were likely products of the energies of the Greater Benefic.  My mind was totally clear and peaceful.  My habitual nervousness was replaced with a total and unwavering confidence.  My body language was different; I stood tall and confident.  In interactions with people, I was calm and I noticed that I held more people’s attention.  I appeared more charming as well and found favor and deeper friendship with an acquaintance.  I noticed people gathering around to speak with me in one of my McGill classes, who rarely do so ordinarily.

I also noticed a greater sense of piety, one might say, an expansion of  religious faith.  I felt thankful to the Lord of the Universe and filled with hope for what was to come.  I did not come across any money today, however.  We will see if that aspect unfolds in the coming days and weeks.  I gave one of the talismans to Laney; we will see what fruits it bears for her.

Update: I have received word that last night, October 29, Laney received a money transfer of $400 from her aunt.  She may have been planning to do this anyway or the talisman may have had some effect in bringing it about.  Either way, it was in line with the intent of the ceremony.  We will wait and see if more telling results come to pass.

Day 2, Oct 30 and Day 3, Oct 31: The same effects of confidence and ease of conversation have persisted while wearing the talisman today.  I did notice something less productive than the other effects, however; Jupiter is the Planet that rules leisure time and I have felt absolutely no motivation to do my marking today.  I have been relaxing the whole day with leisurely activities, which, while pleasant, is not terribly positive, for I am falling behind on my work.   I must be careful with this aspect in the future, and balance this tendency with real effort to stay on top of my work.

Day 4, Nov. 1: The positive results continue to flow from this talisman.  I noticed that as soon as it is brought near my body (e.g. put into my pocket), my mind calms down as if I had just been meditating.  I carried the Talisman with me to work today and noticed that my students calmed down, respecting my authority much easier.  A teacher with whom I had often argued talked to me with favour and kindness and my calm confidence continues to flourish.
